Mmmmm this sounds very interesting! Never been to a police auction. Might have to go down and have a look at whats available.

FYI there is a police auction about every 2 months.

Most of the bikes on offer are total crap. Most of the name-brands that may be worth something (like the Giants) tend to attract over-the-top bids based on the last time I was there. You may get lucky of course :)

yeah, especially when atruists like bendertiger tell the bloody world!

I picked up a ripper buy there quite a while ago, gotta do your research before you go, know the market, just like any other auction.

many bidders now resell, walk through with an ATO or Centrelink polo t-shirt on and you'd probably clear the room!
