Pretty clear the driver didn't look. They drove straight into the cyclist who was traveling along the main road! Cut and dry, no excuses for that.NewStew wrote:http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/dashc ... 037nn.html

Pretty clear, this one. One would hope that the idiot driver will have the decency to NOT plead all sorts of mitigating factors. They simply, and inexcusably, stuffed up. Big time!queequeg wrote:Pretty clear the driver didn't look. They drove straight into the cyclist who was traveling along the main road! For the life of me I can't see HOW the driver did not see the cyclist. It wasn't even as if the errant driver was focussing on the white tray top to the right and did not see the rider in front/to the left. THAT vehicle had already passed the intersection and was in direct line of sight with the cyclist as the errant driver got to the intersecting roads.
(Maybe the cyclist ran a red light some time that day and deserved it. Yeah, that'd explain it.)

Does anyone know if the incident was reported by either the driver, the cyclist or the dash-cam driver? And where it is at if so?
