Tandem Pilots required for visually impaired ride on Sunday

Postby rolandp » Wed Jun 13, 2018 9:54 pm

WATCAC arranges regular Sunday morning rides for blind and visually impaired individuals. This Sunday (17th June) I'm short on a couple of pilots (those at the front) to tandem ride with the stokers on the back. This Sunday's ride is around 40kms. Forecast is Sunny Morning on Sunday.

If you are available to assist, please message me. I've got access to the required tandems, and can provide instruction if you haven't ridden a tandem. It is not that different, except it is extra long bike and there are two of you on it.

Sadly, it periodically happens that we don't have enough pilots, so if you are unavailable this Sunday and would like to join future rides, also message me.

You can PM me in future if needed. Need a few more weeks to recover from a crash though :)

Thank you to those who PM'ed me. We ended up with the right number of pilots for Sunday and I will certainly post again in the future for additional assistance.

If you know anyone who is visually impaired and would like to try tandem riding, please pass on their details, or to contact us.
