What an awesome morning for a ride. Absolutely clear skies and probably 22c as I walked out the door a little late (6:30am). Got caught at the level crossing and had to wait for the 100+ carriage train to go through :-) Unfortunately the Garmin 305 is becomming a total pain and now turns itself off after only 5 seconds or collecting data so I cant tell what my average speed is....

No matter, good ride this morning, traffic giving me a wide berth, no road trains as yet. Really enjoying the ride though life should get a little interesting on the way home this afternoon :-)

Cheers..Pete

Awesome commute this morning, not a cloud in the sky, temp around 22c again. Tempo was good, started out on 38.5-40km/hr motorpacing :-) however at the end I think I sunk to 36.5km/hr. Will update with the average when i get home this evening. No efforts as yet as I'm trying to get comfortable with the lack of hills (no coasting) and keeping the power on, its certainly different riding, a lot harder than I first thought.

Awesome ride home last night, 31c, lots of sunscreen, hardly any cars or roadtrains !! :-) :-)

Cheers..Pete

How far is the commute? Is it flat?

Hey Mike, distance is 30km and relatively flat....damn straight runs, just plain old effort..averaged 35.1km/hr yesterday which is starting to improve. Todays temp was 36.5c on the way home, a little warm :-)

G'Day Pete, is that 30k each way ? Mate you'll be time trialling like Fab in no time with all that commuting.
