Sandman does track

Well after much hassling I gave in and visited the Alice Velodrome today....must say I was very impressed with the quality of the track, facility and number of "rental bikes" they had. Spent a fair bit of time on an Avanti, 48/16 I think it was, didn't seem to suit me as I kept "spinning out" in chases. Friend let me ride his carbon that had 50/14 on it, now that was so much nicer :-) Did my first flying 200 at 13.2 seconds, I reckon I could have gone sub 13 if I didn't pull on the bars and stayed in the "lane" or whatever you call it.. :-) Also I should have started the sprint a little earlier but hey, had a blast.

Very nice Sunday afternoon at the track, I think I might get used to it :-)

If it weren't for the Mtb'ers, it would NEVER see that many people :-)
