Cycling Brisbane to Sydney

I am an endurance cyclist travelling to Brisbane next week. After the holidays Im planning to head to Sydney by bike. Does anyone know the most direct route to Sydney? Ive heard of the Pacific Route starting from Ipswich to Windsor and it seems like the best way though I wouldnt mind having an alternative.
Im planning 3 days for the journey door to door. Is anyone planning to head that way round that time also? I will cycle mostly by night to avoid the heat in the day but it would be a day + night journey to make it in time.
