Recommended cycle route- Syd to Gold Coast?

hey guys i was wondering what route anyone has taken when riding from Sydney to the Gold Coast. Preferably i would like a to take a more scenic route but within reason as time is a minor issue. I am quite inexperienced and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do a search here on "Touring Australia" and there will be many helpful suggestions. Take the road or track less travelled and enjoy the beautiful beaches of northern NSW. Avoid the Pacific Hwy as much as you can and take your time as newbies can tend to rush their tours. Good luck and enjoy the trip.
