On the road again....

Back on the bike after 11 weeks incapacitated. It feels good to be out on the bike, and I still have the old hillclimbing power - first hill out of Belgrave was 23% and I rode the full distance up it. But OMGosh, 55 kms never felt so long! 3/4 of my body is aching now

wich part is the 1/4 part that is not hurting...

Thanks for the kind wishes guys.
The ride may have been a case of 'biting off too much'. First ride might have been better to be a flat 40 km - what I'd planned for yesterday, but the ride I wanted to do was cancelled by the ride leader on account of Melbourne's horrendous weather. Next thing is to get out and do the commute to work a few times a week. Short, fast workouts will be better to build the stamina without too much strain.
