Yep, rriiight :|

I slept on something like that back in 1977-81. Not going to repeat it nowadays.

That gave be a great belly laugh thanks. Be a great item to puncture proof these modern blow up mats but you can't beat a kevlar footprint.

Wild Earth has a 24hr special on.

Of particular possible interest to forum readers is their range of Wilderness Equipment tarps which are well under RRP.

Happy Spinning

Edit:
Sorry everyone - just realised this sale ends at midnight tonight and probably Eastern Standard time.

Thank you very much rifraf.
Just saved over $140.00 on a Sea to Summit Trek 3 down sleeping bag.
I had been watching the Wild Earth sight for a couple of weeks and was on the verge of purchasing at an already good price. The further discount decided it for me. If not for your reminder I'd have probably forgotten about it.
Thanks again. :)
I'm taking off on a two week tour next Wednesday and with a bit of luck the new bag might arrive in time. Otherwise I make do with the smelly old synthetic job I've had for a while.

I picked up one of those tarps at an earlier sale to promote a new store opening.
Its basically $100 off RRP making their "light" tarp the same price as their standard one.

I managed to score a Petzl usb battery cheap as chips from one of their ebay sales a while ago so they are a company worth watching.

Macpac has some specials on currently including the Sundowner XP down jacket for $179.95 which I happen to think is a steal.

Happy Spinning :)

popped into kmart the other day and was surprised to find folding buckets ($5), wash sinks ($7) and a triangular plastic mess kit with two bowls and a compartmented spice holder ($5).
Probably not as good quality as sea to summit but at about 4-7 times cheaper definitely worth it

I use one 0.9 litre titanium pot to cover all of these items bar the spice holder (zip lock can do the job) and in fact looking to replace it with a mug :)

Owners of Petzl TIKKA Series, ZIPKA Series type headlamps might appreciate a heads up about BCF flicking off some new old stock 900 mAh Core Lithium ion rechargeable batteries for $20 each.

These are supposedly discontinued now so availability won't be improving.

Their price ranged in the $80 mark when I first was looking for them.

I posted on initially being unimpressed with the charge of this type of battery.
I did post an amendment about it being a mistake due to my interpreting the low charge warning light as an imminent loss of light.
The torch will give plenty of light well after this warning has occurred.

I just bought two of these batterys despite my initial one still offering up plenty of light.

Thanks for the tip. Hopefully they will still be available this evening, as I need to confirm the model Petzl headlamp I own first before buying.

Well spotted sir... that's about what it cost me from the US when I bought mine. With the dollar down the dunny we need to take everything we can... so even though I don't need one...

$15 darche hybrid 1p tent

Assuming that it isn't moth eaten this is a good buy for anyone looking for a quick assembling tent in the brisbane area

I use one from time to time and haven't had any issues with mine (issues that you wouldn't expect a single wall tent to cope with of course - IOW really cold temperatures or other conditions that will see interior condensation are pretty much inescapable for single walled tents )

I bought this and only just saw your ad. It is in excellent condition, with all the ropes and pegs. Must have been used once or twice. Can't wait to get out and use it.

Actually I have and use one of these and I know these are no way as good as a self inflating model that costs 4 x the price one puncture and they are useless and not something that you can or repair on the night. Now whilst you may scoff, when tired and with a cup of HTFU it really does the job and provides thermal protection from the ground whilst being vastly more comfortable then a well prepared patch of beach sand, though indeed prepare that ground as best you can before usage.

Last night I snagged an award winning Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer down jacket on Massdrop at half price. Unfortunately you are too late if you wanted one - the drop has closed now.

But it sold out soooo quickly - you could probably start another poll.
