Lonely Planet Cycling Australia - 2001
Postby Sprocket » Tue Apr 15, 2014 10:01 am
Any generous BNAers out there prepared to scan one or more of the good rides from the 2001 version and make the available here to be PMed on request?
I see RonK has the east coast one scanned. I'd love a copy of that. Can I PM you RonK?

I have seen you also refer to a few rides in this book and offering it around. I am currently planning a tour up to Sydney from Melbourne and have just been researching into the best route options. I would love to PM you but it seems I do not have the privileges to do so or I have not worked it out yet haha would be much appreciated if I could grab a pdf copy of this version of you as the most current lonely planet book does not offer as many of the rides and does not assist me as much in this trip.
Thanks in advanced,
Nick

To clarify, I have a scan of the East Coast Explorer route from Melbourne to the Gold Coast. It's not the whole guide book. This route only appeared in the first edition.
I'm happy to share with anyone who is interested. If you want a copy, PM an email address.
If you ride any or all of the route it would be of benefit to future tourists if you could post any updated route information here.
I will request the mods to update the thread title to: "Lonely Planet 2001 East Coast Touring Route" and to make the thread sticky.
Over to you mods.

We've gone from none available to just having to pay a bit of postage so: "Don't worry, be happy"Sprocket wrote:.................................... I recall the 2001 as having some much more interesting rides in it. I've looked for a second-hand copy but they seem to be few and far between.
