Hej
Im in the progress of creating a page documenting all former solo and unsupported bike rides, around the "perimeter" of Australia!
Here is how far I have come yet
www.lonebiker.dk/rekorden.htm
If any of you are aware of any other riders, who have done this, then please let me know, so the list can be as correct as possible!
But only "solo and unsupported "
Any comments on the "rules of the record" are welcome too!
Regards
Erik

The only comment i have on your rule is:"solo and unsupported" i agree with but how fast and how long i dont.
Because touring is meant to be about taking your time and enjoying your ride and staying alive and keeping well.
But if you are out there to do it as a race i think your rules are ok.... : )

Hi Erik,
How come you haven't noted all 3 of your around Australia rides?
Eugene's web page is at http://www.aa56.org/ though it wasn't working when I tried. You have a link to it on your lonebiker site.
I'm in the same bike club as Eugene if you want me to contact him for any more info.

If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

I have noted all 3 rides:?
I think eugens page is shut down for some reason, therefor i made a link to a pdf file.
The rules is 90% the rules Eugen set as demand to earn the 15.000$ prize he offered.
Witch he have payed in full I would like to add!!
I have only modified the rules a bit, to fit the new situation.
The rules are of course only for those who wants to break the record.
Regards
Erik

Just had a look and was going to make some suggestions until I read the rules and noticed that charity rides usually wouldn't fit into the rules, none the less worth so I have one to mention:www.renalride.com
Also notice that Anthony Mann isn't listed, don't know if he qualified however maybe? (original website is broken).

Hi
Hmmm... It seems Im confusing peoble here. There is 2 types of trips here
1
For fun, and adventure, ( the way it should be done)
dosen't matter how long, why and when, as long as they have completed a perimeter ride of oz There are of course NO rules for this type of trips
2
Some peoble are doing it for the race, and to beat a record.
I think some rules are to be followed on such attempts.
I will see if I can make it more clear.
Thanks AUbicycles
Great links, and just what I was looking for
Hej mikesbytes
My second trip is listed under the adventures part, because it was not an attempt to bet any record.
