WA coast off road

Hi, I'm new to this site but not new to cycling.

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on the possibility of riding the coast from Canarvon to Perth with an off road focus during the months of July and August. I don't mind doing the road thing but I would prefer off road or at least some good long sections that could get me off the black top. I have hit google earth pretty hard looking at the maize of tracks that hug close to the coast and even looked at the possibility of doing some beach sections to break up the ride.

I know water and food will be an issue but if I can sort that out, is it possible? Has anyone here done something like that before in that part of the world? Would you do it again or is it just plain madness?
