Touring route suggestions please!

Hi,
We would like to visit Australia with our tandem for some cycle touring and could do with some suggestions of where and when to go please.

We've toured before but prefer flat or undulating to non stop mountains and would prefer to tour in the cooler weather rather than the heat.

We also prefer to camp rather than hotel / B＆B.

We will be touring Taiwan for a month prior to arriving in Australia and had thought that we could perhaps visit NZ in their summer for a few weeks before heading to Australia in the Australian late summer / Autumn.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Dont know whether rail trails are what you had in mind? In Victoria the rail trails pretty well link up.

You haven't said for how long. Australia is not a mountainous country but for flatter roads a tour from Adelaide to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road would probably fit the bill. If you have more time you could continue along the coast to Sydney or cross to Tasmania and do a lap, although it is hillier.

Thanks for the suggestions - we'd hope to come for 3 months and would like to cover around 3000km to allow some stops and sightseeing.
