Mt Wellington Ride DONE!!!

Climbed Mount Wellington. Did the Longley - Mount Wellington Time Trial. 21.4kms. Avg Speed 14kmh. 1135 meters climbed Avg gradient 7.5%, reached 9% for 1.5kms. 1hr 28mins. Ouch! Round trip so 41.82kms for the day.

Nice one Rob!

Ive only made it to the springs and am new to roadies but some of that Pinnacle road must be some of the slowest bitumen ive ridden on :twisted: I never knew how much difference the surface can make and up there its just adding insult to injury eh :lol:
Obviously it helps with grip for the cars when things get a bit frosty up there. All I know is ive ridden the same kinda gradient on newer hotmix and its like having a built in tailwind 8)
