Re: Mt Wellington ChallengeYep great day, awesome weather at the top
Was my first "race" of any kind and managed 1h10min48sec, i was secretly hoping to break the 1h 10m mark but just missed out (ill blame the wet corners as my average speed through fern tree was down a bit). wasn't overtaken after starting 16th and finished about 4or5th across the line at the top. It sure was satisfying to overtake a few people with wheels worth a lot more than my whole bike. Cant wait for next year again, have to try and break the 1h ![]()
Re: Mt Wellington ChallengeWell done mate. Have you considered joining one of the local clubs for some road racing?
Re: Mt Wellington Challengeyeah sure have, might join next summer for some road racing, just joining a few group rides to get used to bigger groups, how much racing is left this year?. also keen on getting into some mtb racing next summer (doing the 12hour solo this year).

Re: Mt Wellington Challenge
Do a google on STVCC for vets club, and go to "results" for race times. Also google "hobart wheelers" for info in their site . The two clubs jointly conducted the event. The start was outside the carpark next to the Longley Hotel..
