who is up for a BNA group ride in the weekend of the 27/28th of March,

If we go the Saturday morning Robrollin might be able to get the Dome crew to come.

If we go Mount Well the Master6 and Iaintas have to come as the did the Mount Well TT

So the ride.....a few ideas,

a) town to the top of Mount Well and back

b) town to the top of Mount Well and then the Comando...(or peeps could choose either mout Wellof the Commando)

c) b in reverse so rides could either continue the ride and go up Mount Well or continue to town

d) Bike track, granton, Boyer road to New Norfolk, turn back to town, turn right up Sorrell Creek Road back to town

e) flat long ride, Granton, Bridgewater, Broadmarsh, Eldersdale return

If the weather is reasonable I'll be down at Kellevie that weekend.[the 24hr race] Not competing just going for a look 8)

cheers

I would be riding with Dome or Tri South guys, Mt Wellington is out, for the time being for me.

New Norfolk would be a good ride. There's a regular route for the Norfolk ride that ri and Dome take. The Dome team usually take the same routes same with the Tri South guys.

A Sunday BNA ride would be best, nothing strenous, even over Bonnet, Kingston and return for a coffee.

SO i will be setting of for the New Norfolk ride, Saturday (if its raining i will go on Sunday) leaving at either 7-8-9am depending on when other riders want to go.

then i will be doing the commando on Sunday morning, plus the springs,

who is coming for either or even both ?

PS I ride every Saturday and Sunday morning normally a long ride to make it challenging so if anyone would like to come you are more than welcome........

PPS I think we should have a monthly BNA ride, but a good solid ride.....

One more question:- Where is Dome?
Just one more:- Where should I park my car? (I'm a migrant, not good on some local geography)

When: Sat, 27 Mar 2010
• 08:00 New Norfolk & return 80Km (or Granton & return 40Km)

Join Rob & a few from the Dome Cafe for a ride out to New Norfolk on Sat morning. If New Norfolk is too far or you are short of time, then an ideal turn around point is at Granton for a 40Km return ride. (Quite possibly a few might turn around at this point)

The early forecast: (www.weather.com.au/tas/hobart)
• Sat: Light Rain. Partly Cloudy. Cool. Wind: 15 km/h NNE. Rain: 1mm (30% chance). Temp: 9~19

I had a ride with the Dome team this morning. Very enjoyable, and nice to be in a group of law abiding cyclists who showed courtesy to other road users. Thank you all.

!! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !!......its a small world eh! and maybe Im a bit slow :P But It just clicked as to who you are Cam  I didnt know you were a cyclist, well I had guessed you were a fitness nutter at least but didnt think to ask if you rode. Welcome to BNA anyway mate

I didnt end up going to Kellevie, just did a shakedown run fully loaded. 74k's to Blackmans Bay and return[via the bonnet] 4 panniers and rack bag...total weight of bike and all about 35kg+ at a guess! Tell ya what, the 130 odd km's I did the other week were easier  Ran out of steam on the last 10k's

Im sure I will catch up with you at some stage Cam.....and the rest of you gentleman of course!

cheers
Baldy

Morning guys

Sorry I didnt make it, I wouldn't have been very fit Sat morning thanks to Beer Tasting at the Wine Bar. Where did you guys go to?

I will be out this Saturday, as along as I don't go to Launceston. I went out on Sunday for a 40k ride and 26ks this morning.

The dome guys are a great bunch of riders, some faster than others but all good to have a chat to.

Looks like you guys had a pretty good crew, about 25-30 from what I saw of you going the other way, i saw you at derwent park road intersection. What was the section from Granton to NN like with that many in the group?

Welcome James

Hopefully we might see you on a ride one day.

Usually accross a intersection you divide into groups naturally to cross, not at once, for a couple of reasons, being its dangerous and not very corteous to vehicles.

Once accross the peleton doesnt take off at 30km/h but waits till we are all up and off we go again.
