Hi team - for anyone interested we are doing a Bothwell ride on January 14th as a warm-up for the East Coast Canter. Leaving Dome Sandy Bay at 8 - or the usual Dome leaving time!! - and heading to Granton. We pick up any extras from there at 8:45 and decide on clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on widn direction. The distance is 177km for the full trip or 135km starting from Granton.

Saturday - Bothwell ride - there is much talk amongst a few about a 7am start. Taxman has been consoled and I expect that there will probably be at least two groups - those that need to be back for the tennis and those that don't! The 8 o'clock start was timed to pick up as many of the Dome riders as possible for as long as possible. More than happy for anyone to start any other time as suits.

I'll meet the 7am starters near Granton and turn around at Kempton. Heading off to wildside next week and trying to recover from my epic two weeks of riding so I don't want to be out on the bike for to long.

Am keen, will still be quite a long ride even from Granton (150ish km), racing at kellive on the sunday and wildside the following week. So may do a turn around at Hamilton or something.
