No worries on the Friday ride... Bikes should be fine on the back, carry multiple bikes all the time without them ever scratching each other.

Thanks for the great ride Cam and Barry. Freezing cold at the start :) Barry you were very quick on the front -- impressive. I'll have to work next time and make it a real TT instead of drafting you all the way! I think I'm going to have to keep my eye out for a cheap 705 because the iPhone is annoying me!

Was a great ride indeed. Will have to head down again before the challenge.

2 things though... "Cheap" and "705" don't go in the same sentence and don't worry about the coffee ;)

Baldy, Barry was impressive but it was closer to 33 km/h not 47 km/h. Ignore the munge GPS data :)

great ride! Loved to see the temp drop below frezzing as we pulled into Franklin. :(

Mark dont worry about the occy, it was good to meet you!!!!, Cam i owe you a coffee,...i remember the steam coming off us at the finish the the guy thinking that Mcdurdin ordered decafe  :o

.....rant monday morning at work....
.....Not so lucky on Sunday's ride got a flat on the way back from New Norfolk. That is waht you get for riding and bald tyres, so its time to book in for a full service, 2 new tyres and i inner tube. It think this time i will go to McBains as the old mechanic from bike ride works there. It has been suggested for me to buy the Continental 4 Season tyres, light fast but pucture resistant, will have to get shop price so i can be back on the bike for the weekend. oh well it must signal a recovery week and try and not do any training for a few days, recharge the batteries, flush out any signs of a winter bug and get set for 4 weeks of hard training before the winter challenge. I wonder how much money it will be to fix my bike?........
.....end rant....

Mcdurdin just yell out if you wan to do the ride again, I will ahve to ry and get you on the hill. i strongly suggest every one does the route, its a great ride. we can all set off in handicap groups

So howdidyago Barrytas? I was pretty happy with my effort but had to stop half way for a call of nature, oops... Cost me a minute or so. Next time will be sure to go beforehand. Headwind on the way back sucked a bit!

Oh yeah, GPS buggered up again so I don't have a very good idea of my time, will need to wait for official results... That Garmin Edge 500 is looking awfully attractive right now!

Thanks Cam. Felt very good on the hill (apart from aforementioned bladder!) and was rather pleasant to sneak past some very shiny bikes that weighed less than my bidon cage on the steep bit :)

Well done Barry! You beat me -- thought I saw your name there just above mine in the rankings :) There were some tough bits on the way back with the headwind, for sure! Did you get rained on in Geeveston?
