I'm planning on the Mt Wellington Time Trial next year and thought I'd give it a bash.
Keep in mind, I'm riding a 2003 MTB.
It took me just shy of 2 hours and damned near killed me.
I haven't even bothered to see exactly what the gear makeup is, cos it's like a tractor at times.

thanks for the comments and thoughts....

gee I'd be happy with just shy of 2 hours... that is the other option, an '06 MTB with 42/34/24 crank, I'll probably have it on the bike rack also..... trouble is the front suspension is quite soft and local 'hills' I feel alot of effort is going into the suspension when going up hill, especially when out of the saddle.... I've no data to back that up but that is the way it feels....

think I'll look into putting a compact on the roadie.... 8)

One of my mates went up with 52-36 & 11-25 he said it was a bit hard but he made it okay. I've never ridden it, so personally I have no idea......

I can beat that, SteveO has done it on a 53/44 and a 11/21
