Re: Graffiti on the BonnettI'm completely confused about what you're trying to say, also pics or didn't happen.
Re: Graffiti on the BonnettThought you were talking about somebody vandalising the engine cover on your car. Confused.

Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hillsorry....the Bonnett is a local hill rode by many cyclists
when do we stop for coffee???
Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett HillSorry Barry. I thought you would like
"SUCK BARRYS' WHEEL FROM HERE TO THE TOP OF THE HILL" I hope nobody missed a word.
Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett HillBonnet Hill is hardly the col du tourmalet; about 200m altitude over 2 Km IIRC... Kinda beats me why anyone would bother painting anything on it...

Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hill
people do like to suck my wheel. i did an Imperial Century at the weekend and a mate rode the middle part with me....and sucked my wheel when do we stop for coffee???
Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hill
So, you endorse graffiti if you get the joke, but condemn it if you can't understand a reference to a cyclist other than yourself or your mates. It's all cycling related. No, I didn't do it. Drivers aren't going to blame anyone but "bored teenagers" so what's the problem? Anyway, all it took was someone to talk about your name being on the road and you calmed right down and began talking about riding people off your wheel
Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hill
...because it's the most ridden stretch of road in Hobart for competitive riders.
Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hill
I realise that (used to live 1Km north of the shot tower and did repeats of Bonnet before riding to work most days). But you don't see any graffiti over Neika/Fern Tree for example and that's a popular loop and actually a meaningful climb. Doesn't bother me much either way; I'm ambivalent about graffiti on public propertyy provided it's creative and not just unimaginative vandalism - but of course that's subjective. TBH the only paint I ever noticed around Bonnet Hill was from the ol' puncturing-a-paint-tin-and-dragging-it-behind-a-car trick. There are four phases of bicycle commuting; first there's fear, then rage, then self-righteousness and finally, fun.

Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hill
I won't' dispute those aspects of Neika. The Bonnet is the most popular these days, with plenty of World Tour (I.e. cafe) cred points up for grabs for first Cervelo to the top. Hence, lot's of motivational/p$ss taking war paint.
Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett HillDoc Im guessing your Hobartian and a real cyclist as you know that the only bikes are Cervelos....

Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hill
Rob, I have red, white, cream, and black available (please dont pick black as I will need to do a backing colour for contrast against the bitumen) . Which colour would you prefer? Do you like the straights, or are corners your thing?
Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett HillI think there needs to be a 500 to go, 350, 250, 200, 150, 100, and a 50 mark (meaning graffiti tag) on the road. Whichever color we think suits...maybe white?

Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hill
We can do that too I was actually thinking of the colour for your name.
Re: Graffiti on the Bonnett Hillsorry for my ambiguous post.
