A ride
1 More sleep
A track session
And I am there!

I may not go for the triple crown this week but leave the fighting for position amongst the peloton for someone else.

Rob, you dont want to be charged with "insufficient effort" do you? The penalty is the cost of cake all round.

Go for it.

Another lesson learned today. You need to get up early to outsmart Mr Unbeatable. Have a look at the previous post; 4.33am!! Can you believe that? I have only had 8 hours sleep at that time, with 2 or 3, sometimes 4 to go.
Ten or eleven riders today, I'm not certain, and third consecutive victory to the unbeatable Rob. It's not a race of course,,,, no, it's not a race.....bs.......bs......
We live in hope, and continue to dream of a scheme to dethrone the King :D :D

Now - as i remember it - the late Dr Bill Watts had a fooproof process to beat everyone. his view was that becasue it was not a race he could turn at any point he felt like - and he was invariably first back. Smart man that Bill.

Today started out as a normal Wednesday morning going to the track and doing sprints and this morning was 1km efforts. 41ks later and I am headed out to Richmond. I was going to have casual ride today but that wasnt to be with Eric the Viking turning up with his go fast wheels. On the return, I tried to breakaway, but I didnt get any help (looks at our BenevolantDictatorD and Sgt of Arms Master6) stayed away for 7ks before sitting up a a trio was within 1km of me. Eric put in a brilliant TT effort coming off his back wheel at the 250m to go mark for the sprint finish. What a great ride, thanks to Eric the Viking for the leadout.

Dont worry if you feel a slight vibration Rob; it will be the chewing gum on your rear tyre; I will by trying to stick to it. :D

Just been looking at RobRollin on strava. Will an iphone do all the things that the garmin800 will do?

An iPhone will give you basic gps track, speed and dodgy elevation. Garmin will give you much more accurate gps, elevation, plus cadence and heart rate (and power if you really want it). Edge 500 plus iPhone for maps is a good combo. You wouldn't regret getting a garmin, most people I know have migrated from iPhone to garmin

Non traditional course today. Richmond, Front Tea Tree, Tea Tree, Back Tea Tree, Grasstree to top. One for the greenies; trees everywhere. Return was reverse of outbound route. About 12 eager participants, and more than adequate breeze.
Who won?
"It's not a race!!!!"

Four people "won", each at their personally chosen finish line.

Everyone is happy.

Next Wednesdays "non race" is the annual Richmond to Orford and return. 9am precisely from the carpark behind Richmond Bakery.

Try to get approval for more pocket money this week, as coffee will be had at Orford and Richmond. Addicts might stop in Buckland too.
