you can tell from mine that i really didn't need a jacket and i couldn't see then finish line.......... i rode past it and asked someone where it was :shock: :oops:

I made the call on Sat before the rain even.

Well done to those that braved the elements, definitely not a nice day for riding to the pinnacle on a roadie. Last time I did it, it was snowing. I was also on a mountain bike.

Yeah another wussy here. After 6hrs in the rain on that Oppy gran fondo I have this thing about starting a ride in the rain[on the roadie and MTB at least]. I thought I could do it but just ended up donating $30 to the event :lol:

I admire the guys and girls who gave it a crack! Well done ya mad buggers :P

I got cramp in my right leg going up through Neika and think i left way to much in the tank, i left the line with scott bowden (that kid was on fire) who took of out of the saddle never to be seen again. Cant believe how many didnt turn up on the day, way soft, the rain wasn't that bad really once you started, way to many fair weather cyclist kicking around i think

I think it would be great if this event was on twice a year, there is defiantly enough interest for it
