Any decent bike hire in Tassie?
Postby Mrfenejeans » Mon Oct 29, 2012 1:05 pm
I'm coming to Tassie on the 4thof Nov only for a few days to visit family, but was wondering if there was any decent bike hire there?? As having 9days off a bicycle will surely drive me to insanity.

I'm actually interested to know this too.
I'll be down in Hobart at the end of Nov.

See: http://www.biketas.org.au/work-with-oth ... Hire-Shops
I've never had the pleasure of actually using any of these hire shops, but it's at least a starting point.

Sent out a few emails, as most of the websites I could find had pretty limited info.
Will post findings as they arrive.

Depending on what you're after, looks like there is some free bike hire available in and around Hobart.
Can't be booked, and is on a first in best dressed basis.

I might give this a crack if I can't find a decent road bike to hire. I would really like to do some longer distance stuff though. If possible, I wouldn't mind trying out Mt. Wellington.
