Derwent Valley ride - Tuesday 7th of May
Postby BenevolantDictatorD » Mon Apr 29, 2013 3:48 pm
For those interested - Leaving Tynwald park at 9:00 am heading north for a loop of around 100kms. Weather is always an unknown but May is a nice time of year for riding in the 'valley of love'.

We had five riders along this morning and some bloke called Jerry. He seems pretty well known and usually goes by his nickname of Bridgewater Jerry. When he is around it is usually pretty cold, still and foggy. He didn't disappoint. We were supposed to be there to enjoy a casual ride and view the lovely autumnal change of leaves displayed so beautifully in the Derwent Valley at this time of year. I'm sure there was a display out there somewhere but Jerry made it difficult to see anything!
We lost contact with Jerry somewhere just before Hamilton and the ride seemed much better without him. We didn't tell him when the next ride will be on.
