Appropriate dirt tracks for 700c bike.

Though I've bought my bike for commuting wanted to do some more interesting dirt rides (hence the trek 8.4 :) )

Any suggestions for nicely formed dirt beside the pipeline track greatly appreciated.

Out of Hobart, but one of my favorite loops on my road bike is from Dunalley out to Marion Bay, Bream Creek, Kellevie, Copping, Marion Bay and back to Dunalley. Quiet roads, mostly dirt - but pretty qood quality, fantastic scenery, and good to support the fire devastated community by buying something at the local shops. The bakery has re-opened at a new location in town.

There are some tracks around Ridgeway, leading down to Waterworks, which are manageable on a 700cc bike. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous there is a fire trail that runs from basically the end of Westringa Rd down to Scotts Rd, which you could then loop by going back up Summerleas Rd to the pipeline. It has a couple of rough sections that you'd need to take slowly, but most of it would be fine.

A good course on a road bike, with a dirt component, is Sorell, Forcett, Delmore Rd, Nugent Rd, and back to Sorell
