Hi,
During a visit to Hobart I am planning a ride and am thinking of including Summerleas Road as part of a loop. Is it dirt and if so will it be ok for my carbon fibre roadie?
Thanks in advance.
Mick

Sealed at the ends, dirt in the middle. I haven't ridden it, but plenty have (see http://app.strava.com/segments/631806)

Very steep gravel about 5 km not recommended for road bike, but better alternative is via leslie rd, also gravel, but shorter and not bad condition,

Thanks for the replies. I did not read them in time and tried to ride through and bailed out when I came to the gravel. Saturday arvo it was wet and the dirt section was slippery as so I whimped. It meant I did Bonnet Hill in both directions, so not a bad outcome.
