DFBTR could become as big as Ben H .............err, the RBWR :D

I understand that Cycling Australia have heard that DFBTR had four turn up for a ride, and they are concerned about the competition :D :D :D :D :D

PaulB, have you considered TV and Radio advertising to boost this "happening" along?

And we did. Welcome to Anita, it was good to have you join us. :D

55km of cycling joy from Dodges to Primrose, Forcett, Lewisham, Carlton, and the essential coffee at Dodges Bakery.

Another sunny cycling expedition. :D

Perfect conditions greeted the assembled riders for today's DFBTR. A team of three comprised of Master 6, Red Heeler and Paul B tackled the run to Primrose, over Sugarloaf, through Dunalley, Lewisham, Carlton and finishing at the bakery for coffee and a chat in the sun. There must have been a collective subconscious reading of my mind as the crew took it pretty easy, I was feeling pretty smashed and not up for a hard effort. So rather than assume my usual position at the front, I let Red Heeler and 2IC Master 6 set the pace for the day and what is generally a smash fest for me became a pleasant jaunt. Uneventful, apart from Master 6 breaking a spoke which went off with a bang as we approached Dunalley. Another fantastic ride which would be improved if we had a few more participants... It is all happening again next Thursday of course so come along and join in the fun.

Paulb and LG were spied carving up the tarmac between Forcett and Dodges this morning.

This area really is turning into the cycling mecca of the South East.

The next development could be........... :D anything is possible :D The local pharmacist has observed recent cycling developments, and sought details when I went in to quench my hypochondria this morning.

Well I think the only burning up were Paul B's tyres and subsequently my thigh's in his wake. The peleton of 2 were regularly ripped to shreds by the 30kn winds, but I enjoyed the ride (and subsequent bakery treat/conversation) and will try to tag along again some time.

Well I think 30km is a bit of an under estimation of the wind speed. At one stage my front wheel moved a couple of inches sideways across the road as one gust smashed into us. Descents that are normally travelled at 50Kmh + were taken cautiously at sub 20 kmh. It is crazy windy again today and as much as I was looking forward to a spin I am not going out in this. And yes, depite this the ride was enjoyable and it was great to have the company of LG.

Did you or did you not head out for a ride this morning, Paul? I headed out just before 8am, to a mixture of head and tails winds, tail wind home. With the occasional cross wind on shark Point Rd, which caught the front wheel. Notched up 60kms, however.

Dont despair, we know the feeling.

Riding with PaulB has some similarity to our beach walks with our dog, Bill. We let Bill of the leash, and he goes like a bat out of hell and disappears from sight. We dont worry; we know he will come back soon, just like PaulB :D :D

Hope to see you on the bike soon; I will look at the map and see if we can come up with some "Dodges friendly" suggestions that venture your way. Do you ever have Thursday mornings free for riding?

No... wish I had early though. Good on you... 60 ks is a good effort in this wind.

I chose to stay home today and spray paint a shed frame project. A lull in the wind was shortlived. Luckily the nearby white cars in the neighbourhood went out today :D
Must ride tomorrow morning, as Monday is a "no go " day due to other commitments this week.
