Looking to ride on the mtb from Bonnet Hill to Mt Nelson. I have a MTB so keen to do dirt Rd if possible instead of channel hwy.
I see on the maps Proctor does not go through, but by chance is it linked with mtb trails to get you there?
Does Proctors rd allow you to go from Kingston to Mt Nelson

I think there are a few tracks down from the school, go past the tennis courts, if you have a look at google earth you should see some bush tracks, most of that area has fire trails around it, however im not sure who owns the land in that area.

There's a few tracks but they go across private land with lots of keep out signs. Councils are in negotiations to open up these trails to recreational users, but currently best to stay off them. See http://www.wellingtonpark.org.au/greate ... -endorsed/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for maps and updates on what's happening.
If you don't mind climbs, there's several ways of getting from Kingston up to fern tree on trails, then you can follow trails around the back of bonnetts hill to mt Nelson.
