Bothwell Roubaix next Sunday!
Next Sunday is the Bothwell Roubaix, hours before the start of Paris-Roubaix.
Bothwell Roubaix is being held on a 12.5km kermesse course with 2kms of well formed dirt with points awarded across the line.
Seniors (men, women, U17s) will race in grades for points on each lap. The aggregate points will determine the winner and runner up of each grade from which the prize money will be awarded. The winner of the "Roubaix Rock" will be the rider, potentially from any grade with the highest total points.
U13: 1 lap (12km) starting 11.00am
U15: 2 laps (24km) starting 11.00am
Seniors: 4 laps graded scratch A-E grade, U17s race in appropriate senior grades.
This event is a family day with a number of cafés, a hotel and a restaurant-cellar-door on the course providing places for partners and families to watch the race in comfort. For younger children there is a playground in the Town square. So bring the family out to watch the action!
