A friend of mine was verbally and then snotted on by well known group this morning after they near pushed someone off the bike track coming towards them. The first rider of the group was in the oncoming lane overtaking a slower rider and yelled at the oncoming rider making him move. Following this my mate was riding behind them and was told to get off their wheel. Then the last rider and turned and snotted on him on purpose!
Do they think they own the bike track?
They already have a bad rep.
And its not a good look for other cyclists!
I shake my head sometimes
Although there are always two sides to a story and lets face it the actual events are often blurred after the 2nd and 3rd take ...
Do they think they own the bike track? hmmm bold statement ...
They already have a bad rep. hmmm again bold statement ...
And its not a good look for other cyclists! fully agree!
There are always one or two in every group that DONT FOLLOW THE RULES ... but be smart enough not to brand the whole group!
It is disappointing and i will speak to those who were out there at that time to get a clear picture of what took place ...
I was out on the bike track the other day - riding along in my own little world. A group coming up from behind yelled out to let me know they were coming. Because I don't own the bike track I did the polite thing and moved over for them. There was another rider coming the other way but there is plenty of room on the track for up to four abreast. They said hello on the way past. How polite I thought. None of them seemed to have any bandages on so I assumed they weren't racing cyclists like the ones on tv. They weren't going much faster than me so I thought I would tag along with them. I suppose it would have been polite to tell them but I didn't. The bloke at the back cleared his nose. Maybe I should have let him know I was there after all. That would have been the polite/right thing to do. Being a rider who is always at the back of the bunch on the bike track I find the circumstances of the original post in this thread just everso slightly unbelievable.
Never let the facts get in front of a good story.
