Are there MTB'ers around Smithton??

Howdy,
I'm moving to place near Smithton early next year and in preparation to settle in as quickly as possible I was trying to find a MTB ride group/club in the area. So far I've found nothing. It also seems that there aren't any XC trails nearby either - please correct me if I'm wrong! If you know of a group esp if they connect via facebook then please let me know. Will also consider taking up road riding if there's a supportive group around. Coming from Perth WA we have a wide network of trails near the city and nearby towns; plenty of supportive, encouraging groups; and heaps of MTB comps to suit everyone! I really hope to discover something similar in the North-West so I can keep my hobby going.

You do realise there's not much of anything at Smithon... i used to be a mtber in Wynyard, think I was the only mtb in town way back when...

cLosest club I know of is the cradle coast club, which I guess would take in Smithon...ish (Most people from interstate would consider everything from Devonport to the West coast the same area...but it really isn't)

I used to live in Smithton, there were some good tracks for the dirt bikes around but I am going back a very long time
