rides around Dover way?

Postby DamienW » Mon Oct 22, 2018 1:35 pm

Sorry is this is already covered elsewhere (although I did have a look and couldn't find anything) - I'm travelling down from Launceston to spend a few days at Dover next week and just wondering if there's any specific rides/loops (road bike) that people do down that way - either for some must-see scenery or to avoid traffic (or to go to the best cafe!)? Anything 50-100km would be good.

thanks in advance
Damien

This might be too late, but unless you are happy riding on gravel, there aren't many options that don't involve the main highway. The Esperance Coast Rd is the only reasonable non hwy tarmac rd and is a nice ride, but it's only about 20km or so. If you don't mind gravel, from Raminea to Southport you can ride on a network of back tracks. Couple that with the Esperance Coast loop and that would be a good hitout for the day
