Got an old Malvern Star off the 'bay for a FG conversion and it had a set of these aboard.
First Generation Dura Ace, circa 1975. Not OEM on this bike as there was cable stops on the DT, presumably for stem mounted shifters.
They're in pretty good nick, a little rust on the tension bolts and a little road rash on the levers themselves.
No good to me so they'll be up for sale. Question is, what sort of numbers should I be looking at? I'll go ebay if I have to but I'd rather a fellow BNA member had first dibs.
Not necessarily cash either, maybe a trade for some form of Italian shifting Dunno...
Thanks in advance.
Shaun

...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

if you sold them for less than $50, i'd call it a very good purchase.
one of those 'what will the market bear?' type of sales, i'd expect..

I reckon $50 is on the mark. Black is definately worth more than silver. I bought a NOS black set of derailleurs/shifters with all fittings in the box for about $150 early last year. early Dura Ace stuff in undervalued in my opinion.
I would be interested in trading for a 1970's Nuovo Record rear derailleur

Sounds interesting Rog, would you have a pic?
I'll post some of the shifters after I get home.

Shame about the image.
Would make a great retro Tshirt with the blue & green old school dura-ace logo.
The cycling version of an Atari tshirt!
