I sold a giant CFR , one month ago. The buyer hassled me for a water holder and $5 off.
Next day it's on eBay sans water bottle, using my photos for and for 200 more,. All you can do is laugh.
It's still on there, kinda hoping it won't sell

Had my eye on this but decided to pass. Seems like it was snapped up pretty soon after it appeared on this forum, though. Acquired by anyone on here? And doing a resto if so?

If you are asking for that sort of money, don't be a tool and pick up a couple and show the parts you are actually selling.

Interesting lugs

Very nice. For a very original AutoMoto with all the bits that is probably a reasonable price.

I think US $3500 - $4000. I've just returned from a holiday in Italy. In my travels I met the owner of a hotel who was into fixed gear bikes, he offered to sell me a boxed campy tool set for 1000 euros. I know that was actually cheap, but it's not my field of interest, so I declined. I will post some observations of the bike scene there at a later date.

You would want to have picked out a nice spot on the wall - its not like you are going to be fitting it to a bike

It would be reasonable to describe it as an appreciating asset the way the prices on that stuff have been going the last few years.

Has to be one of the first repco bikes ever made, found in garage and was told it was used for racing in the 1960s...
I have it on good authority that this bike won the Melbourne Cup .. Twice!

Interesting to see such and early adoption of the "cut out" style saddle.
