I have one of these...Council cleanup frame, handlebars, brakes & seat post, tapped the frame gear lever boss to M5 & fitted Shimano SIS 6Sp, then fitted with council cleanup Repco victrory tria QR hubs laced to a set of Japanese Araya 700c rims off another council cleanup donor bike...and some 700 x 32c Maxis Detonators & fly weight tubes and its a mighty fun & fast casual cruizer it made the tweed ride this year (not as fancy as stuntmans)....BUT cough/splutter $495 Really....
(Stopped in and had a look at these...yeserJ nworB their "new Hipsters" modern day equivalent mixte handle bars are terrible in comparison...& apparently some people would really pay $895?)

Seller has another add selling what appears to be 6 mowers for $300 or $30 ea. given the location the maths isn't surprising and I'd not be surprised if they were a bit hot too.

$510 for that one is very surprising.bicyclepassion wrote:I can't see what the attraction is with the 'crown' chain wheels. Particularly the joggled version that just sold on e bay. The 5 pin version would make a nice addition to a semi racer bike, but the joggled/fixed version? Beats me.
what is also surprising is the "successful bidder" (9***9 with 61 successful bids) also had a keen interest in the sellers other goods
Indeed 56% of the "buyers" bid activity has been with this seller in the last 30 days http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... e_ViewLink
was the winner bidder on a stereoscope http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... 7675.l2565
just missed out on a Brass copper plate train http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... 7675.l2565
was an early bidder on an old harmonica http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... 7675.l2565
might have been disappointed to miss out on the red back spider gear shift knob after early bids http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... 7675.l2565
also was successful with the bike lights http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... 7675.l2565
was also successful with the dyno hub http://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... 7675.l2565

I've actually ridden one of those, if you can call 15 metres a ride. I think a straight unicycle would actually be more stable.

Just a shame that the photo is pinched from here
Sure it could be that hector from the Philippines moved to North Sydney - except that he claimed to have repainted it pearl white

Those forks are excellent. I still recall buying XL version in that colour, brand new, back in the late 1990s. I rode everything else in the $1700-2000 bracket and they were left for dead. The first non-rubbish MTB I'd had. I still have it and bought another in the last 18 months for spares to keep it going. I liked it that much it's now my road bike.
