Interesting "Drillium" head lugs on the GEFSCO!

Never heard of a Vetta but it looks very nice too.

There was a nice similar-drillium Gefsco on FOA: http://www.fixed.org.au/forums/f42/geoff-scott-19778/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Would be interested if I were shorter.

Tandem frame being sold by somebody who doesn't know the word "tandem", so may be missed by people who are searching for one:

I have a copy of the Tom Simpson book and of course I think its a great read.
The TI Panasonic and Merckx bikes are very nice but a bit too pricey.
The bargain here is the Raleigh TI team bike which looks well equipped and its a rreal one I would say worth more than the current bid by half.

This ergo trainer is listed by my mate. Young DD has one the same, and they are brilliant. Better than a fluid /mag trainer by MILES.
Great feel, you can ride them for hours.

Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

How much noise does it make compared to a fluid trainer? I have a Jet Black one and while it does the job fine it is far too noisy for me to use it in the apartment where i currently reside.

They are probably noisier than a fluid trainer because you have the fan blades, 2 chains, derailleur ...yeah not for apartment dwellers. They are very heavy too.

"The bargain here is …. by half."
Per the thread title "yaBaelf prices on the rise, good time to sell old junk?"
=>> This thread has been more about the wonders of the internet, and what others find interesting.....not so much "Post the latest Bargain Here"

Would suggest that while the Raleigh-Team-TI is well priced at present, the Speedwell-Titalite has the "unusual factor" all be it xxxy$

I always get excited when i see those things because it means the saddle is either destroyed or immaculate. Found a bike with a cover like that once that was hiding a mint Selle Turbo :) .

I say $800-ish. :|
~

... I was wrong earlier. Standard 531. Getting my reds 'n greens mixed up. But there is something about those higher end Team Raleighs. 8) That one's in particularly nice shape.
Maintenance guy at Sydney Hosp had one in '78 when I'd started commuting from Annandale doing RGN training at the time. I remember picking it up... felt so-o-o much lighter than the Viscount Sebring I'd just bought.
5 bidders. Plenty of room for a shedfight at the end.
Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

Buggar the Raleigh. If I had the cash I'd grab the Speedwell. A very rare beast from one of the first ti bike manufacturers.
