Does the poor photography add mystery and value?

Value dropped in recent times

22 of the 30 bids were made by the buyer. Didn't do himself any favours with a bidding strategy like that.

A nice bike, but as you say he did himself any favours with the final price. The numpty really needs to use an auction sniper program in the future.

Interesting forks on this Mcbain. Are the bent in or is it just the angle?

The tandem seems to pre-date 853 tubing by at least a decade.

I'm sure I've seen it for sale before, but couldn't find it.

Cheers,

A nice 90s tandem. I think It belongs to a member here, Joe H & his wife Shannon who come out and play in Sydney retro rides. If so, sad to hear they are moving back to Alaska, they will be missed.

Yep Bruce, sad for us. His very first post was the Retro rides. Surely he'll leave the Merkyx with a trusted retro companion, in sydney, the same size, right Joe, yaknowwotimsayin Joe ; )

One for the very (very) tall lovers of boutique Italian frames

63cm Ciocc with solid hard bike case, mystery components and low starting price. Sadly I take a 60 :(

. I like the drilled stem for the centre pull brake cable. Should be a bit more responsive then the flexible headset mounted ones.

He has a few small pics up now of one bike. I spoke to him earlier today. Nice fellow and these are the bikes he raced on in the 70s. I have made an offer, but will wait and see. They are a bit too small for me at 23.5" Ctt seat tube.
