He claims it as 600 Arabesque, but I think Velobase supports me in classing it as 105 Golden Arrow (which I already have, but would like the right cranks from the 600 Arabesque group).

Was there a 600 variant like this?

A good score at the right price I guess. Don't whether Viner did tourers though?

Yeah there is a 600 Arabesque crankset, similar but different logo, here on Velobase. http://www.velobase.com/ViewComponent.a ... b&Enum=115

I have a right side Arabesque crank 160mm length which I might be willing to part with. PM me if you're keen to trade something.

you can pick up decent arabesque cranks for about $50. sometimes less, seldom more.

I have a set, and because i like them i keep my eye out for them, but you must know where to shop because I'd say often more and that $50 is pretty good buying if in good condition. Haven't seen them still attached to a butchered frame before though, so who knows what that does to the price.

Viner did make touring frames amongst the range of things they have produced, still do apparently.

That one looks a lot more like a DeRosa than his did. The angles and clearances look about right for a higher end early 80s bike, anyhow.

That guy was a laugh, I kinda miss him and his fakenagos owned by football players, sold it for a bazillion dollars on gumtree. Shame he was a spiv and not an honest clearer of garages.

As for that "de rosa", lack of clarity in the photos aside, the rear dropouts and fork crown look good quality and the group looks very neat. And there's no mention of football players so it's probably legit :)

edit: in other news, I've been watching this . Love the history.

Yes, Frame finder, he was a class act. I'm sure he'll regret most of what he said one day.
