No no, that's just the "bicycle hoist" price. You need to select the bike (black and red) from the drop down select menu. It's $240 ($222 with current "discount").Clydesdale Scot wrote:at the BIN price of AU $17.25, and free shipping. Cheap enough for the Pool Room.

indeed we are so fortunate to live in times of such rare mechanical beauty.DarrylH wrote:I think this one is even better - it is a "road" bike and the front brake is on the correct side (forks are not reversed) and the stem points to the back to give a nice short reach.

Looks like still trying to scam it on fBayhazarama wrote:This bike caught my attention a while back on GTree with a ridiculous price of $3,000 and listed a few more times at lower amounts.
It then went to fBay and was sold three times to a buyer with 0 purchase history here,
here and here.
It's back up on fBay again with it's location as Quzhou which is quite a long way to travel from Southbank
And it's back up on GTree with a different story
I'm moving overseas selling up my possessions.
This is an extremely rare 1950s Malvern Star Track Bike . Best ride you will ever get.
I paid $1200 for it but I'm open to all offers.

Now I've seen it all. Nearly $3000 for a "raliegh" and that's just the start of it.

Pfft, he can ask for $2900, doesn't mean he'll get $2900.octopusbananas wrote:https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/taigum/ ... 1127137596

Bargain indeed! I’ve seen that seller before, usually has rare and quality bikes - with prices to match.

There's so much ignorance there it's outright offensive. $3250 for a frame which has clearly had a nasty front end shunt

Don't limit yourself to the Bicycles filter category, look on Gumtree in the 'Other Antiques, Art & Collectables' and you can pick up a bargain
Painted pristine white, including crankset and pedals. And only $3000

Except it invites bottom feeders who have no interest what so ever in cycling and who are just in the market to make a buck on "vintage" things. Just add "vintage" and slap on a $3000 price tag.bychosis wrote:The market will decide what they are worth. That’s the thing about Ebay, he who has the most cash wins.
