I make no claims to expertise but pic 7 from the linked gumtree ad looks like a uniglide hub to me. Yes a screw on cluster would be very standard , hence Quang's uncertaintykoen wrote:If I'm looking at the same wheels it looks like a screw on cluster not a freehub and tubular tyres. Very standard until mid eighties.

First of all i know how to ride a bike but have never ever really got into riding, I want a bike for uni and am looking at some of these with the links below, which ones are worth my time and money and which ones are junk? Which ones would you buy? budget is pretty low because i can't afford the high end stuff so <500, any help is much appreciated!

Just as a BTW CLW a 56cm label doesn't mean much, because everybody measures bikes differently.
Need to know a bit more about your Uni and whether you need to negotiate hills etc.
Felt Brougham single speed. Good if the one gear is the right gear for you. Both options sound like big gears to me so you might need to experiment with cogs/rings a bit.
Classic old Cilo race bike Great old bike! Definitely not for you with tubular tyres.
Giant Cross City This would be my pick.
Indi 500 Road Bike 70's road bike with suicide levers, probably steel rims. It's cheap, it has a rack.
Of those choices the Giant is the most suitable for you, current equipment, good brakes.
Since this is the Retro Forum someone ought to get onto that Cilo.
Cheers,
Cameron

Didn't think it would, nice-looking unit.
A mate and I were discussing it earlier, and we reckoned the bidding would get silly near the end, but not that quickly.
I'd like it, but both the full shed and the empty wallet said 'No!'.
