rare or not, any bike thats been "ridden hard" and "had parts replaced" and "comes with seat clamp that needs to be modified" "has non original parts but look good" and "parts about to give up the ghost" must make one wonder where the value and rarity is? it isnt exactly my idea of "original". someone please educate me as i m not sure i see the worth in this one. and its ugly too.
Maybe part of the value is in the tyres?

Interesting bike. Can't comment on its value, but isn't that chain stay tyre clearance a bit small for a mountain bike?
It wasn't uncommon on early mtbs to have trouble with tyre clearance as bigger tyres came to market. Just FYI

And sadly, almost entirely accurate, even if you fit modern brake pads.

Not sure what is the bigger pack of porkies…a) "Good Condition"…. or b) "So now i'm stuck with a fish tail"
The quality of "SOUTHERN STAR"…."PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED"
Quality is always worth More than the purchase price.
Price of Gaspipe "named Greg" is up…comes with "custodial sentence"…"shiny bell".."smaller brother (Randal)"
Yo cus it got…"nit 115 olypiade bars and stem and there worth like 100 new"
Great man bicycle

Brooks seat NOT included.
Can discuss other bars/parts set up if you are interested.

With more babies on the way I have to part with this one :) you will not be dissapointed.
Iam guessing I would be dissapointed [sic] if I wanted the brooks seat?

Anyone wanna split with me? I want the frame, fork and seatpost. Spokes and rims would be useful too. You can take the 7400 bits.

Thanks but no, i'm after something with a 1 1/8" head tube to suit a set of disc forks i've got. Within a week or so i'll have 2 or 3 geared quill stem bikes so i don't think i could justify another to 'er indoors :) .
