it is a high price for three more photos and it was raining.
The test will be if anyone is going to pay the $199

The evilbay purchaser has an unusual interest in bidding for and buying hiking backpacks from a seller. A very loyal customer

My stupid sister's stupid bike
Brilliant. The description is just as terse..
My sister moved overseas and left all sorts of cr*p for me to deal with, including this bike.

It has sat unloved and untouched at the side of my house for nine months. It's been rained on and is rusted. There are also cobwebs. I don't like cobwebs, so those are yours to deal with!
...
I don't care, as long as someone takes it!

Is there an ebay/gumtree finds thread in the retro section? Or is this it?

Something interesting in the Land of Queens: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/brighto ... F-bicycles

This is the thread to cure all that ails you - wandered off the original topic years ago to cover everything ebay related.

It is an interesting looking bike - builder went to some trouble to make the lugs distinctive - pity its not clear who that was

this Coloral bottle is a steal* too.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vintage-color ... SwmgJY7HiM
Free postage from China in the listing.

The seller, on60027_4 has been an evilbay member since 13 March 2017, but the description has
"On 09-Jan-17 at 19:15:44 GMT, seller added the following information:
Please note postage below U.K. Only.
International post at cost."

I asked the seller if he had ten of the bottles.

and then I reported the listing to evilbay's administrators.

It's got 600 tricolour group, I think it may actually be a nice frame under the stickers.

The frame looks kind of similar to some 1980's era Miayta (Japan) stuff that I've seen. So possibly at least a semi-decent frame.

Agree, probably a reasonable price for what it is. Disingenuous to list with colnago title though.

Sometimes you wonder whether the fork is bent or if it is just a bad camera angle. Then there is this

I am notifying evil bay listings a few times a day about Chinese sellers, with zero sales, 'listing' vintage bikes or components for absurd prices (cheap) with photos easily traced back to the where they 'borrowed' them from [right mouse click>Search Google for this image]

and then we have another seller listing a poster of 'Fausto Coppi poster featuring a track and trick riding Coppi from 1960.'
except is is taken in 1936 and is Dutch cyclist Piet van Kempen circling the track, while reading a newspaper and sipping tea, at Wembley during a six day cycling event. Photo by Derek Berwin.

And I challenge anyone to find a photo of Coppi riding any bike in 1960.

tiresome.

The thing I'm wondering is how the hell do they ever profit from these scams, what with all the e/bay - p/pal buyer protection these days?

On the few occasions that I've received an "item not as described" on e/bay I've just started a case against the seller. Straight away e/bay sends me a message to say that they're looking into it and they may need to contact me for more info. But each time however, they never even ask me anything at all, I just get another message the very next day saying that the case has been decided in my favour, and when I look at my p/pal account I see that the money has been refunded already.

Every single time it has happened to me, that is how it has gone down. The scammer has had to eat the postage and everything! I know that such a system seems biased in favour of the buyer, and I have heard many complaints from sellers (not about me but just in general) about getting scammed by rogue buyers. But it certainly makes me wonder why on Earth anyone would even try a scam like the one in MichaelB's post above.
