Yeah, thanks for the heads up on that - didn't have a chance to spring for it, but it looks like Super Record RD, cranks and shifters + Nuovo Record FD. Nice Shimano AX stem too.

Funny, components are a little shabby, not as high quality as they usually are? Missing Tange sticker. I might have a crack at this anyway for my housemate, was the frame is very clean.

Would've said the crank is original, but the RD and downtube shifters have probably been replaced. Frame looks decent though.

Nice looking fake Merckx

Looking at this one as a first track bike for my son. I suspect it will go for more than I'm prepared to pay (and maybe hawked around as a genuine Merckx). Anyway - I asked the seller a couple of questions who replied that the the bike is about 8 years old he paid 1300 euro in Germany for it, and that "it's based on a khs flite 100 with high end Reynolds oval tubes. they made them for a German team to tribute the great man with team moltini .."

I can't find anything on the Internets that backs this up, so I'm working on the assumption that it's an entry-mid level track bike that someone's whacked some stickers on. And I reckon replace the words "based on" with "is".

Edit: This review suggests that it's JAF, albeit not bad...

Correct. Lovely frame, Tange Champion 2 in fact. I had one for years as my commuter. Put about 30,000km on it before it broke at the bottom of the downtube. Original shifters and FDR/RDR were suntour. The shifters were the Suntour Symmetric shifters which were the best DT shifters I've ever used. I've got an advertisement for this bike from 1984 if OP is keen on it.

At the very least you dont have to make to much effort to grab the water bottle. it would be a good head turner too.
