"only the best parts....Tektro brakes" . I mean i have tektro calipers and levers on my single speed but they're hardly 'the best'.

Off topic, but i really like the feel of the tektros. Can't go wrong for $25 a pop or whatever they are. But yes, $1000 o_Oldrcycles wrote:Tektro brakes

I believe this is the first time I've ever seen mudguards and a rack on a Tarck Bike. Is this the new Aerospoke? I will be carefully watching the hipsters in my area for the inevitable uptake.BRLVR.v2 wrote:Check out this polished turd, visp or similar frame http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/gawler/b ... 1007001469" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm going to call this and say if you want to sell your stuff, post it in the marketplace rather than sending us off to your eBay sales. I may be wrong, but I don't think I am, somehow.sunho wrote:I don't know this guy, but "nixbikes" on ebay seems to have some nice rides ranging from old 1970s Raleigh Grand Prix & 1980 Gitane road racers

I think the decimal point in that particular listing is off by at least two places...BRLVR.v2 wrote:PFFFT, if he's the guy who is pedlin this abominationsunho wrote:I don't know this guy, but "nixbikes" on ebay seems to have some nice rides ranging from old 1970s Raleigh Grand Prix & 1980 Gitane road racers

Yeah, kick him in the nuts twice. "Abomination" doesn't even begin to describe the ugliness of that thing. It's a hastily cobbled up collection of cheap rubbish.BRLVR.v2 wrote:PFFFT, if he's the guy who is pedlin this abominationsunho wrote:I was going to head down for a test ride.

Lucky for me I picked up a newer shogun katana (not the ones made in Japan) and but in Great condition for sub100.
Ebay is so hard to find anything that is good value. Most of them seem to be good scalpers who want to rip you off or pretend to know nothing about bikes.
And no, I'm not nixbikes, and in no way related to him!

Maybe all the collectors have finished their various restorations and rebuilds and it's just a lull in proceedings? I might actually be able to buy some now.

Don't tell me that, just when I have finally started to list my collection .....singlespeedscott wrote:Im actually beginning to think prices are starting to drop on eBay. I seem to be picking up things for less and the stuff I sell seems to go for less what I was getting 18-24 months ago.
I think there is just more competition/supply on there now, driving prices down.
Or maybe the hipsters have a new fad to move on to ....

Gumtree is owned by Evilbay too .diggerdantheman wrote:Its called Gumtree, but its a bit obscure, so you probably haven't heard of it...Velo13 wrote:Or maybe the hipsters have a new fad to move on to ....
Yeah prices have dived of late, definitely a buyers market. V13, you need to be selling cyclocross, or beardo stuff nowadays to attract the hipster kids.
