Only $67 more than full retail plus no front brake. What a bargain.  :?

It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

Wow, very cool.

Shaking my head about the Repco Preset, maybe i should sell mine, given it still has both brakes AND drop bars i might get enough to buy 2 new ones :D .

Yoga lessons.

Nah, seriously, the problem with underslung bottles is the half pound of front wheel roost attached to the mouthpiece. :(

Well, it wouldn't apply to a monster like that but on a serious touring bike the underslung cage was where you kept the meths bottle for the Triangia cooker :)

It's a Sportive, i picked up one of those recently for parts as the frame was completely destroyed. TI tubing, i think a basic cromoly.

Non original paint, no decals, looks like the drive side rear dropout has been hit with an angle grinder, but it is a 5 star Malvern Star. Monetary value is a very subjective thing.

Dunno about the grinder bit. Derailleur hangers are not often found on Aussie made frames from that period.

But yeah, value is certainly subjective. I'm surprised it went so cheaply, given the crazy money I've seen these things fetch in the past. Also agree that the paintjob devalues it significantly.

The grinder mark looks pretty obvious, you can see where the cut is not parallel to the dropout. It should look something like the one in this link

Sorry, I missed the close-up photo of the dropout. It definitely has been hit with something. By a blind person, apparently.
