Quick, somebody buy it, so I can stop worrying about how I could get it to Sydney.
I'm the same, spent a fair bit of last night wondering how I could get it to Tassie. It appears to be near Ballarat. Any locals to the area want to do me a deal?
These guys are amazing. Doing a depot pickup your end helps, as well. I got a bike from Bundaberg to Sydney; very easy/inexpensive.If you sweet-talked them, the most difficult thing they'd have to do is get a castaway bike box form their LBS.
Cheapest around

I've used e-go a few times with no problems but if you google reviews on them there are a lot of unhappy people out there. I would be wary.

Well I did end up trying to contact the seller to see if they'd be willing to drop it off at a freight depot, but it sold before they got back to me. I can stop worrying now too :) . I hope it was somebody here who made the purchase and can post pics once they collect it. Looks like a good buy.

Isn't it always the way - the fantastic looking bike in well preserved original condition is never your size - apparently the seat tube measures 55cm and the top tube 60cm

I hope this speedwell special sports goes to a good home

Just so you all know, this bike is in the suburb adjacent to mine if anyone needs me to pick it up for them (providing they buy it and pay me, of course).

Vetta's rock. Pity it's only PG Oria though.
This guy was very helpful with info when I was chasing decals, and I contacted him via another forum.

NOW THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT IT WOULD PROBABLY REQUIRE A NEW SET OF FORKS AS THEY HAVE GOT A CREASE IN THEM.NOT SURE HOW THEY GOT LIKE THAT AS THATS THE WAY I BOUGHT THE BIKE.WAS INTENDING ON FIXING BUT SELLING INSTEAD
Yeah right, hit a stationary car much??

Its my frame......been sitting in limbo for too long and have now lost interest in it.......

Time to put the funds into something that I will complete and ride.....

Picked up a Cannondale Silk Road frame recently so that will be the new road project......

Have a number of other things listed on ebay....colnago frame (another unfinshed project) and other bits......

Well done.....purchased the campy group for the Vetta and even had it mounted to the frame...... that's as far as I got with it....

Frame is a tad too big for me to be comfortable.......another reason it has to go......

"In American picker terms, farm or barnyard fresh", um no, in american picker terms "worthless pile of old carp" perhaps. EDIT: perhaps a little harsh, but then asking $1,000 is more than just a little nuts.

As for "would look great in a glass display case", i just...i....i don't know.
