Is it on ebay now? There's a 56cm Miyata on ebay currently, may be genuine. Miyata did make a few models with unicrown unholiness, but the Team aint one of them!

I take it from your questions that you've picked up the frame is a bin job, not a salvageable job?

Interesting bike..

.....but with the Ultegra components it could make a worthy donor & then flip the frame.

Made a jump from bedding sand once - wet down to give it a crusty shell. You can imagine how that ended.

No argument there. Valuations are a crap shoot, to use an American term.
This little Fuji has reappeared after some weeks.Just fell off/no bids at just sub-four hunnerd. Now re-listed as per link. My diminutive female work colleague was interested, but now another (equally diminutive) friend of hers is interested. OK, I'm fishing for opinions a bit. I reckon in current market it's a mid-200s bike. Thing is, it's on the Insular Peninsula, so an easy pickup for her. (SatNav's been a boon for those poor people. Rumour has it there are several dozen at any one time driving aimlessly anywhere south of Warringah Mall. :( )
And what's with that long stem? :|
... oh, gotta hate those ugly reflectors. maybe it's subliminally putting people off.

But it comes with a "spear tire in a bag under the seat" that's got to be worth at least a extra hundred

That Fuji has been up four or five times, coming down from $400 in very slow movements. I reckon mid-$200's is about right for that. The Cyclone parts on it were decent enough. I've learned via a few web resources that Fuji built some quality frames that flew well under the radar.

And here's the bike: http://www.classicfuji.com/ClubFuji_1986_Page.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; You can see it's basically catalogue condition, even the bar tape and straps! I don't know what the 449 refers to, but it's probably 'new price' in '86.

VALite frame info: http://www.classicfuji.com/1986_30_Fram ... 1_Page.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; & http://www.classicfuji.com/1986_31_Fram ... 2_Page.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Classic Fuji website is a great resource.

Boggles me that a 26 year old bike can look that new. Makes that Mongoose from this morning look used.

I expect you'll be rebuilding the bearings and replacing the rubber before you can ride it too far though, so $200 would be my stingy limit.

i sent seller the following question
hey, who's the bidder with 556 feedback points, bidding on every one of your auctions including the completed ones?

after having her and her son's account suspended i get a reply from the seller:
hi, forgive the lateness of my reply. in answer to your question, that would be my son. we are both hoarders and often try to best each other in auctions. i know he gets a buzz when from time to time he wins an auction of mine at a price i had previously refused to sell it to him for. by reporting us to ebay you have successfully crippled our accounts. it seems like a fairly diligent endeavor on your part against total strangers, i trust you gained from the exercise in some way, as for us, without the extra income from ebay, the holidays are now looking bleak. regards, k.
to which i replied
wow, you really spent some time thinking that one up. unfortunately, you broke ebays policy, and if you did that at a property auction for example, you'd be in court faster than you could *********.
******** and your dodgy activity.

Wow, that's some excuse from her.

I sold a steel MTB frame with partial groupset the other day for $20 (better than nothing, at least then it's not taking up space), the bloke asks if he can get just the shifters (sure why not) before i reply he sends another message asking "is that ok? just the shifters and brake levers, i've already paid the $20, that should cover the postage". When i remind him the listing clearly stated postage at buyer's expense and he needs to send me another $6, he comes back with "i thought i could sell you the frame and other bits back for $6?!". Absolutely lost for words.

But then on the other side of the coin i sold my old Stumpjumper frame and offered to drop it off when i was down on the goldy for the tour de tamborine, the bloke was too excited, couldn't wait so drove the 200km to pick it up.
