Did anyone pick up the yellow Jim Bundy running 7400 from up in Tweeds Head? It was only $200 as well.
yea i know the guy who got the bundy. i was far too late.
Bob Jackson Tandem
I'm lucky this isn't a touring tandem or I'd be spewing. It would even fit us both better than the Dawes, with 60cm seat tubes. This might be the same tandem I spotted on bike exchange about a year ago, it was advertised by the blind stoker who had owned it since new. He was asking $500. The view counter told me I was the third person to see the ad, but by the time I shot off an email it was already sold. I expected it to turn up again on eBay at some point, this *might* be it but the ad claims that it has been in the family since new. Still, seems a long stretch that there would be two custom built orange Bob Jackson tandems in Victoria...
Also, in the spirit of tandem fun...Come on, $160, Somebody in WA give this a home!

Don't see this everyday.....Carrera Corsa Road bicycle"
=>> Looks too small to be a 62cm, pretty relaxed geometry, wonder if it is 531C?
$2K for a pursuit track frame of unknown origin with half the bits missing? Seems a bit rich but maybe someone knows enough about these to identify whether it's worth the price tag? Not at all interested in buying, just curious.

Something dodgy going on with the Peugeot around the top of the seat stays there...
Looks suspiciously like red oxide killrust paint, no?
No big loss, saw a Carbolite in Perth the other week and when I searched for details I found many comments like this:
The Royce seat is actually a Rolls....
2014 goal 52000m
That's a lot of bikes for a guy to be selling.....
I have noticed in Melbourne that there are a couple of guys who regularly have bikes for sale. Where do they get the bikes from?? (Note: I think its pretty obvious that the guy in Noble Park probably fixes up bikes that he finds at the tip, but there was a guy in Sunshine who was selling some fairly good condition MTBs (at least from the photo) bikes, as well as other guys scattered around Melbourne.
I don't know but some how they just start appearing in your garage and for everyone that leaves 2 seem to replace them.

=>> For those considering the 61cm REPCO Euro Tria, it has obvious Rust issues CAUTION..once they start..its a slippery slope to destruction with TANGE Infinity...make sure the seat post and stem come out of the fame.
this bloke can count!
Speaking of new bicycles... Have you seen the Cecil Walker touring frame for sale in the marketplace?
Imagine if this was a Ti frame, and the guy just wanted to hide it with a bunch of cheap components, and then he sold it to a friend and somehow it ended up on Gumtree for $200...
Could it be?...
Also, here's a reminder that the crap adds can hold gems...
Two bicycles and a treadmill
That Europa is sporting Campag Omega Strada rims with hardly any sidewall wear, worth the $150 asking price alone. Not even sure how I dug up that ad It's a long drive from Sydney anyhow.
hey lugnut the $200 touring frame is actually a repco sierra frame with susp forks.
A good size but the price for the frame alone is a little exxy. Not to keen on the reverse facing Canti mounts or the stripped out derailleur hanger mount. Fussy aren't I?

Apparently this was used in the 1980 Olympics.

Two Olympics in one day. Jeesh.

Someone tell him he's dreamin'.
I re wrote his ad blurb for him, if he's going to sell it as a 'rare replica' he might as well milk it for all it's worth.
"The Moscow '80 featured a kickstand mounting plate, so that athletes could kick stand their bikes beside the podium during the medal ceremony. It also featured a rear rack mount, so that athletes could carry their victory wreathes out of the stadium, and then possibly do a spot of grocery shopping on the way back to the athlete's Village. Hi Tensile gas pipe steel gives the Moscow an extra stiff frame, this is no climbing frame but Moscow is as flat as a pancake so they didn't need the flimsy lightweight stuff. Also I left the drive side BB cup in, because everybody loves to skin their knuckles a dozen times trying to remove a 30 year old BB cup.'

Moscow Track Frames were discussed here amongst other places.
Is this Guy for Real?? "This was my mums bike, and she no longer uses it, as she is now racing professional velodrome and is sponsored, but this is the bike that got her on her way."
He has to be taking the wee wee. The Mega upgrade on the Gel Saddle is a good selling point too.
Well, it's not an Alpine GT... but would anybody care for an old steel Shogun MTB?

Were they CrMo or gaspipe?
Reckoning that it might be CrMo, it would make a good low-budget touring conversion... assuming also that it has some rack mounts, which is hard to tell in the picture.
As always, happy to pay forward my services as boots on the ground in Ballarat. Got plenty of shed space for temp storage.
PINARELLO Campag & columbus SL presently $100
53cm Columbus Thron
Vicini Columbus SL mixte Shimano 105 Golden Arrow.....Now that is a Mixtie
64cm SL & Campag for those with plenty of coin

Yoizus, I want that saddle. Brooks/Bell/Ideale whatever..... triple springer with wound steel jobbies at rear. That is like the 1920s really over engineered equivalent of the suspension seatpost sold to doubting new-riders in the last 15 years or so.
Not saying it's kind of original or incorrect era but does anyone reckon that saddle was originally off a lot posher bike than a lowly delivery machine?
Please don't assume I'm on Facebook.
It just clicked when you mentioned the BB, the same guy also posted an ad looking for a bike to rebuild...

Must have had difficulties in getting the BB off. Otherwise a pretty good looking frame.
