This looks promising. In Melbourne, has a Columbus sticker and no mudguard eyelets, starting price- $50.

Old racing bike. Looks the real thing.

Somebody buy that now! It looks like a Torpado with a twin plate crown and all the original parts - very desirable.
I'd be in there like a flash except it is so far away.

Personally, I check the Gumtree Melbourne listings once a couple of hours. I once went after a pair of essentially new Randonneur tyres for 20 bucks, I contacted the seller within 10 minutes of the post, and it was gone. Moral of the story, good deals go fast.....

I contacted a Gumtree seller about a bargain priced Chariot Cougar kiddie trailer ($250 used, RRP$840 new but they hold their value extremely well) and the listing only had 3 views on it. I was still 2nd in line and missed out. Definitely got to be quick.

Gumtree seems to have better stuff on it these days - eBay not the same as it once was imo

Nice looking Apollo III in Sydney. Don't suppose anyone is within cooee of this, and if so would be happy to pick it up and box for sending for me (happy to make it worth your while)? I'm getting sick of breaking alloy frames so I'm after a large steel frame on the lines of this for commuting duties

I know..... It would easily have helped me forget about my healing frame that is probably beyond repair :(

Very tastefully done, but christ almight really? I took a glance at the price, then started rolling through the pictures, and decided that yes it was nice, but not worth 3 and a half grand. Closed the pictures and took another look at the price!

Bent forks. Don't bother. Much nicer bicycles popping up in Tassie all the time anyway.

Damn, it's the wrong size. Otherwise... ;-)

Eep. I know the seller. Never thought he'd part with that one. Although, there's a whole lot more Brit-porn (and other very tasty pieces) in his stable, so I guess he'll cope with the loss.

Fakeedit: Eeep again. He's selling the Moots as well!

Peugeot Mixte that is much nicer than usual. Some Sachs New Success parts, a higher quality large frame, full aluminium fenders and drag bottle dynamo under the BB with lights mounted neatly on fenders. In excellent condition too.

Ahh damn, just saw the funk wheelsize. 26 x 1/4. Possibly a good candidate for a 650B conversion anyway.

It is probably a typo - it looks like a 27 1 1/4 to me.

+1 on that. Peugeots are French and that looks very 70's/80's. I doubt they would be using a British wheel size that died out in the 50's, (But... they are French... :P )
Cheers

+2, i've had a few of these before of what would seem to be similar vintage, all were 27 x 1 1/4
