Ah, the memories. I used to ride skid kids (1973/4/5/6), now called cycle speedway, and used to be part of the display team. I recall doing a bicycle pyramid where the third and fourth tiers were 5-8 year old kids, at the Adelaide International Raceway drag strip. The risk of injury from a collapse was never a concern and certainly wasn't insured.

aaaaagh... bad acid... flashbacks. THE FINDON SKIDKIDS!!!!!

I used to dream about being a Findon Skid Kid but I wasn't good enough, tough enough, rich enough. They had the best gear, and they were bloody good.

Any oldschoolfools here

What surface are they racing on? A lightly dusted road base or something simillar. THIS would be awesome fun, freewheelin, flat out and slidin' till it grips or washes out. Give me a go at it  This is the first I've seen or heard of it, I'll be speaking to Clover Moore (the boss) about some land/space alocation. THIS is what this city needs

The track is a dolomite sand. Compacts quite hard but you don't get the traction like on bitumen.
